The Home
Tunzi is an ideal place to unwind and enjoy every experience that a game reserve can offer! Tunzi is a luxury self-catering game lodge situated within Kuleni Game Reserve, just 3 hours drive north of Durban along the N2.
The home is tastefully decorated with ample space for you to relax and unwind in. The home has 2 spacious bedrooms, with a small loft in the living room that can sleep older children. Each room has its own en-suite bathroom that also includes an outdoor shower. Nothing better than having a shower under the African skies!
The kitchen is fully equipped and has its own scullery that includes a washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer. You can also enjoy an outdoor barbeque whilst watching animals drink from your private waterhole.
The Reserve
Kuleni Game Park is a 170 hectare game reserve, situated just outside the town of Hluhluwe, Northern KwaZulu Natal. Within Kuleni there are 17 separately owned homes and lodges, all designed with the environment in mind. Kuleni is a sandforest which offers a unique birdspotting experience. Birds to look out for when visiting Tunzi include the grey waxbill, green malkoha, eastern nicator, southern banded snake eagle and crowned eagle to name a few.
The type of game found on Kuleni allows for unguided walking trails, providing an opportunity for you to see the beautiful animals found within this reserve on foot. Game found within Kuleni include giraffe, wildebeest, duiker, zebra, kudu, warthog, impala and nyala to name a few.
